Someone Still Loves You Aaron Sorkin

Well it looks like I made a preemptive strike on NBC for bringing down Studio 60. According to sources they aren't really canceling it yet. We will get to see a show about SNL that is somehow better than SNL for a few more episodes. I for one am happy because if I don't get to see Amanda Peet make some real friends, I'll just go on feeling sorry for her.

On a different note I caught Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin last night at Union Hall in Brooklyn. They are from Springfield, Missouri and god they look young. I told my friend Shane last night that I just don't feel comfortable watching a band if I don't feel slightly intimidated that they could beat me in a fight. To some extent I believe it because these guys would cower if I raised a fist. 3 out of 4 of them didn't look older than 16 but regardless they played alright music. I prefer their album Broom to their live show. They played a bunch of stuff not from the album and just didn't capture the harmonic sounds they pull of in the studio. Their drummers were fun to watch but other than that, I for one won't be going to see them in concert again.

CMJ continues all week, I'm going to see Asobi Seksu(sp?) in an hour in SOHO and who knows who else I'll get a chance to see in the next few weeks. Enjoy the shows and I'll be sure to let you know what I think.
