Brothers Past "Leave the Lights on" and Broken Social Scene "KC Accidental"

I was listening to the Brothers Past and their first track on the album is very similiar in some ways to Broken Social Scene's "KC Accidental". Now I don't have a download for the Broken Social Scene track and if you don't have YFIIP there is probably something wrong with you. Listen to the lyrics and how they are sung in both songs, cooincidence? I don't think so.

This is too weird. I just heard KC Accidental for the first time, and the first thing I thought was "Wow - that sounds exactly like Leave The Light On".
I googled the two names, and what do I come across but your blog posting saying the exact same thing, 3 years later to the day - at 1:38 my time, no less, which is when you posted originally. WTF.
13 years later, same google search led me to this! I'm on old BSS fan, and listening to Brothers Past and heard it immediately! Glad two other folks out there in the universe had the same thought once upon a time1 Cheers!!!
