I'll Remind You To Check Out Feist

A year and a half ago I went to a Broken Social Scene concert in Boston. I was so excited to see BSS that I didn't care who the opener was. Feist was a name I had never heard of so I figured I could miss this opener without much fuss. When I entered the venue a little early I fell in love. Feist is beautiful and extremely talented. I watched her sing "Mushaboom" and I couldn't believe how much fun she was having on stage. She clapped her hands, joked with her band, and smiled with her angelic voice lulling the crowd into her grips. We were sad to see her go after her set... but wait she came back out with BSS for the majority of their set.
The next day I picked up "Let It Die" from iTunes and couldn't have been any happier, too bad half of that album was cover songs. She's been working since then on a bunch of new material and it is going to be ready for consumption on May 1st. Now if you're a tech savvy pirate you probably already have this album and you know how amazing it is. You can
find a few samples via various blogs through elbows.
When the album is actually released I'll provide a track review but for now the only track anyone is supposed to hear is "My Moon, My Man". It's decent but it's nothing compared to "The Park", "The Water", or "1,2,3,4". If you are not in the US I recommend you go to one of her concerts during her upcoming tour. She's beautiful, she's talented, and she's Canadian. What's not to love.

The Human Giant Have Some Old Fashion Fun

It's changed a bit since the rough cut they previewed at UCB but I'm guessing it's because they couldn't use the original ELO song they had, and they couldn't use the X-Box logo.

The Most Awkward Boy In The World

Cutman films consists of Chris Gethard and Zach Woods both of the UCB Friday Night regulars The Stepfathers. They've been working on some short sketches where Zach stars as The Most Awkward Boy in The World. Each sketch stars some UCB regulars and are no longer than a minute. You'll feel awkward and you'll laugh a little bit. It won't take more than 9 minutes to watch all of them. Here is one of them, get the rest on youtube:
